If you’re close to the edge, share your postcode and we’ll advise.
How quickly can I be seen?
Many appointments are arranged the same day, subject to demand and location. Urgent concerns are reviewed promptly so we can advise the best next step.
What happens during a home visit?
Unhurried assessment, examination as appropriate, and clear next steps before departure. Where suitable, prescriptions are issued on the day and investigations or referrals are arranged without delay.
Can I book a video consultation instead of a visit?
Yes. Video or phone is available 24/7 and is often the fastest first step if a home visit isn’t required.
Do you see children and older adults?
Yes — Dr Lea cares for adults and children, including visits to older patients at home or (by arrangement) in residential settings.
How do prescriptions, tests and referrals work?
When clinically appropriate, prescriptions are sent electronically to your chosen pharmacy. We coordinate blood tests, imaging and referrals to trusted specialists, sharing results and follow-up plans clearly.
What languages does Dr Lea speak?
English, Afrikaans and German. Interpreter support is also available by phone in 200+ languages.
How does membership with Dr Lea work?
Membership provides priority access, direct contact routes and continuity with the same doctor overseeing your care. To keep access prompt and personal, the list is capped at 500 patients. Partners and children can be added at reduced rates.
Do you offer out-of-hours support?
Yes. You can reach a Private Home Visiting GP by phone or video day and night, 365 days a year. Out-of-hours home visits are available within London via our London visiting team; outside London we’ll advise the soonest option.
What about emergencies, fees and privacy?
For severe chest pain, heavy bleeding or stroke-like symptoms, call 999 immediately. Fees are confirmed before booking and third-party costs (e.g., tests, imaging, specialist fees, medication) are billed separately. Your information is handled in line with UK data-protection law.
